So far i've been running on the stock 1.6 injectors, and at idle, it tends to bug down a little, so i'm upgrading to the bigger 1.8 to see what they do.Īlso, for the 1.6 guys, i'd suggest getting a variable tps, it helps a lot with the dials.ġ x MegaSquirt-I Programmable EFI System PCB3.0 - UnAssembled Kitġ x PCBv3 and v2.2 - Pullup Resistors 'ModKit'ġ x GM Open Element IAT Sensor with PigtailĪdd around $50 for harness supplies, wire, a $7 soldering iron, misc.Īdd them up. you do have the risk of running lean or rich. since YOU control the fuel, it comes in handy to see where you are fuel wise. *you have to be "on the spot" - i've made the mistake of turning it down for cruising and as i downshifted, i forgot to dial up. *it does idle a little funny (see suggestions) i don't know the price, as i obviously didn't pay retail, but i'm sure jimmy wil work something out. if i'm not mistaken, you can get one of these from $150 ~ $300. all i needed was plug in the unit (yes, it is pnp) and run a vacumm line from the manifold to the controller. which in turn improves engine response and HP. we've been planing on putting an air filter RIGHT AT THE tb, and with TSIs in my car, i get the coldest air and shortest air duct ever. ![]() *allows for custom fabs in a much easier way. no MAF means a less restrictive air duct, which improves air flow. the miatas run rich as it is, so you can "dial down" your fuel a bit and save some $$$. as simple as turning a dial in the controller located.
